We need to make many decisions everyday. Some of them are critical and have significant impact on our future. It's like a tree diagram, there are different consequences followed by each decision. Sometimes, we may not be able to go back after the decision was made. So, what can we do to guide our children to be able to make their own decisions to achieve their goals in the future?
Brainy Puzzle aims to empower children to achieve their full potential and help them to equip what they need for future.
Curiosity
Curiosity is essential for gaining knowledge. Albert Einstein said, “I have no special talent; I am only passionately curious” When children are curious, their brains are more prepared to absorb and retain information. This increased level of engagement enhances both enjoyment and effectiveness in learning, fostering higher participation and greater success in both academic and personal endeavors.
Throughout our program, we nurture your child's curiosity through various exercises. For example, we create a 'learning through play' atmosphere so that children feel comfortable to share their ideas and ask questions. In addition, our instructors continuously provide guidance to children instead of giving them answers straightaway.
More importantly, curiosity can also be fostered at home. We encourage parents to actively engage in your child's education by showing genuine interest in their studies. By modelling your own curiosity, you can amplify theirs. Explore our exercises topics together, visit museums and discuss the intriguing things they are learning....and therefore strive to be "passionately curious".
Illogical Thinking
Innovation happens when people are curious and creative. This is why recent studies have ranked creativity as one of the top skills needed in the future.
Schools teach children to think rationally and logically because irrational/illogical thinking can lead to poor decision-making. However, research shows that illogical thinking patterns can actually stimulate the brain further. When faced with illogical situations, children have to think of solutions, and this thinking process allows them to think differently, to connect new information, new situations, and thus increase creativity. If illogical thinking patterns are ignored for a long time, children will not be able to think outside the box.
Training children in illogical thinking patterns can enhance their innovation capabilities and equip them for future unknown professions, preparing them for future changes.

In 2024, we have sponsored Asian Rapid Chess Team Championship 2024 which was held in Hong Kong, This is an exciting event that brings together top chess teams from across Asia to compete in rapid chess format.
